Headteacher's Welcome

Hello and a very warm welcome to Burghfield St Mary’s Church of England Primary School. I am proud and privileged to be the Headteacher of our wonderful happy and successful village school which dates back to 1837!

At Burghfield St Mary's we believe that education is about more than academic achievement, and we believe we provide an education that gives equal value to the academic, creative, physical and spiritual well-being of every child. Our Christian values of Faith, Hope, Love and Respect run through everything we do. They shape the way we learn, and also how we treat one another, celebrate our differences, and support each child to flourish both academically and personally.

We are a one-form entry school, welcoming children aged 5-11. Our curriculum is broad, rich and purposeful, designed to inspire life-long learning. When our pupils leave us for secondary school, they do so with confidence, a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and a sense of achievement.

We would be delighted to welcome you and show you all the wonderful things that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.

We hope this website contains all the information you require. If you would like a paper copy of any details, please ask at the school office. If you would like to make an appointment to look around the school, to meet the staff and to discuss your child's needs please telephone or email us at the number or address below.
